Program Committee

Description

The Program Committee plans the Annual Meeting. In this endeavor, we strive to achieve a balance of topics, to select the best science in our field and to present a broad range of topics to be interesting to a diverse group of clinicians, researchers and teachers. ​The committee is comprised of appointed members and representatives from every Committee, Section and SIG.  The committee ​develops the program for the meeting, including plenary sessions for all attendees and special activities.  The committee reviews and selects pre-meeting workshops, submissions for concurrent sessions and paper presentations, as well as reviews abstracts for the poster sessions. The committee meets annually at the meeting and is responsible for monitoring sessions. We engage in ​multiple conference calls per year.

If you are interested in being considered as a member, please ​explore being a liaison through a Committee, Section or SIG when these positions become available. We periodically ​will have opportunity for people to apply to become an appointed member.  Committee members usually have attended multiple SDBP annual meetings and are asked to commit to attending the annual meeting during their tenure on the committee.
